Prof. Jackson Wachira Muthengia is the Registrar (Academics, Research and Extension) at the University of Embu. By virtue of his position, he provides Secretariat to the University of Embu Alumni Board. He holds a PhD in Chemistry, a Master of Science Degree in Chemistry and Bachelor of Education (Science) Degree, from Kenyatta University. He has been the pioneer dean to several schools at UoEm including School of Pure and Applied Sciences, School of Education & Social Sciences, School of Law and School of Nursing.  He has a wide depth of experience in University Management that span over ten years in senior positions. He is working to have the Schools of Engineering & Technology and Built Sciences established at UoEm. Since the inception of the UoEm Alumni Association in September 2017, Prof. Wachira has passionately facilitated the Alumni Interim Committee and actively participated in drafting and adoption of the UoEm Alumni Constitution that has guided all the operations of the Alumni Association. He is very instrumental in supporting the elected Executive Members and the Board Members of the Association. He believes in teamwork and his customer-focused attitude will help elevate the Association from its humble foundation to a reputable one that inspires the Alumni to give back to higher heights. He is strengthening the Association to support innovation and research while taking up key roles that network the Association to affluent groups and potential stakeholders.
